Welcome!

Mills Martial Arts™ (MMA) was founded in 2000 to provide practical martial arts training for ordinary people. Our focus is not on belts or competition, but on the useful application of knowledge and skill in real life circumstances.

Each student at MMA learns in a safe environment where progress is measured on an individual basis; students learn at the pace which best suits them.

At MMA,
belts are earned—
not given.

Weather closing schedule is based on Montgomery County School System decisions. If MCPS is open, we have class. If MCPS is closed, we'll typically post closing unless otherwise indicated. Check here whenever there is bad weather as we'll post our decision as soon as possible. Always use good judgement. If we're open but you feel the roads are bad enough, save class for another time.

Listen To Your Body. If you are sick or have the early symptoms of a bug, stay home and recover. Pushing yourself when sick will prolong your illness and expose others. In this season of various bugs, be aware and use good common sense. If you do pick up something, rest, be patient, and drink plenty of fluids. Keep your hands clean and away from your face. Cough or sneeze into your elbow. Maintain good hygiene. Keep your uniform clean through regular washing and bleaching. Staying healthy is good self defense and being considerate for others is a trait all martial artists should aspire for. Get back to class when you're recovered and give yourself the chance to perform at your best!

If there is anyone new in class you don't know or anyone you haven't met whether they've been here awhile or not, please introduce yourself and make them feel welcome!
